The primary responsibilities include providing ongoing support, facilitating skill enhancement, and advocating for job retention and continuous professional development.
Collaborating with both clients and employers, this position will contribute to creating inclusive workplaces where individuals with disabilities can thrive.
Additionally, this position involves a hands-on approach to training Employment Consultants within the team.
You will play a crucial role in instructing them on effective methods to support individuals in their jobs.
Furthermore, you will take charge of completing the monthly billing tasks for the Community Employment Department.
This responsibility encompasses efficient billing for all services provided.
Requirements: Essential Functions Provide hands-on job training for every client on assigned caseload, along with guidance on fundamental life skills to promote independence.
Regularly assess client progress and adjust employment plans accordingly.
Advocate on behalf of the clients to ensure reasonable accommodation is provided in the workplace.
Create a positive relationship with employers, creating an inclusive and supportive work environment for individuals with disabilities.
Encourage and empower clients to develop self-advocacy skills, promoting independence in the workplace.
Foster a sense of confidence and self-esteem through ongoing encouragement and positive reinforcement.
Maintains open and professional communication with clients, staff, families, funding sources, employers, and the business community.
Complete and maintain all related documentation per LOGAN standards.
Support the training of both new and existing Employment Specialists in the field, guiding them to effectively assist and coach clients on the job.
Ensure understanding of the importance of embracing a hands-on approach.
Complete the monthly billing for all services provided in the Community Employment department.
Ensure prompt follow-up on denials and connect with Employment Specialists when additional documentation is requested.

Keep informed of industry trends and best practices including participation in the Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (INARF) professional interest sessions.
Achieve and adhere to CARF accreditation standards.
Develop and monitor the department budget working toward financial targets.
Ensure proper documentation of services and submittal of all billing information on a timely basis.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or GED Experience Five or more years supporting individuals with disabilities in their place of employment.
Demonstrated success as a Job Coach or Employment Consultant working with individuals with disabilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary to build relationships with community organizations, clients, funding source staff and LOGAN staff.
Ability to accurately interpret and consistently communicate policies and procedures.
Must have and/or develop working knowledge and proficiency in Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavior Supports.
Oral/written communication skills to clearly and effectively express ideas.
Ability to plan and organize work activities/processes, use discretion and sound judgment and demonstrate initiative to ensure goals are achieved in a timely manner.
Must provide own transportation, have valid driver’s license and driving record must meet insurability requirements.
Must maintain and provide documentation of auto insurance at limits set by LOGAN.
Must provide record of vehicle registration.
Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification, and must stay current on all other training as defined by state, accreditation body or organization guidelines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
