We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Property Accountant to work 40 hours a week Monday through Friday.
This is not a remote position, but we allow for flexibility on an as needed basis.
The Property Accountant will perform the following duties and responsibilities for the financial services and property management teams.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the reconciliation of revenue and customer receivable data between property management software and bank statements
* Monitor receivable balance and work in conjunction with property managers for collection efforts.
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
* Reconcile all sub-ledgers (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, etc.
).
* Responsible for timely submission of month-end reports.
* Assist property managers with the preparation of budgets, cash flow projections and common area maintenance reconciliations.
* Assist property managers with data entry and reporting to owners.
* Assist financial services account manager and administrative staff with client billings, vendor contracting and client communication.
This position requires the following skills and qualifications:
* Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education/experience.
* Five (5) years previous accounting/booking experience required.
* Microsoft Excel and Word software experience is required.
* Yardi software experience is preferred.
* High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
* Must be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
* Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
* Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (both required)
