What You'll Do:
As the Accountant, you will review, plan, manage, validate, and handle the general Accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting that will support the achievement of financial goals.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
Reviews and posts journal entries in the system ensuring accuracy; supports AP & handles the AR for the company.
Reconciles journal entries and general ledger activities to ensure validation.
Reviews expense reports in the system, with the credit card statements, ensuring accurate coding and processing based on the Company policy.
Trains employees on appropriate processing as needed.
Reviews payroll processing, ensuring complete, on-time and compliant processing.
Manages annual physical inventory process to ensure accurate inventory within the system.
Reviews and maintains fixed assets, with a depreciation schedule, to ensure accurate tracking.
Handles the month-end, quarterly, and annual close process for accurate and on-time delivery of financials.
Manages bank reconciliations and transfers to ensure accurate processes and cash flow.
Position Requirements:
Education: Associates degree in Accounting preferred; will consider a combination of coursework and experience.
Experience: 3+ years of full Accounting experience performing AP, AR, and journal entry functions in a construction, production, or project related environment.
Knowledge of GAAP is essential.
Payroll experience would be a plus.
Certification(s): CPA not required but is a plus.
Functional Skills: High attention to detail and reconciling a large amount of data; ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work on-time and accurately; strong basic math and analytical skills and advanced conceptual and problem-solving skills; highly process-oriented; ability to research laws and policies to ensure high accuracy in application in the organization.
Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Payroll Systems, Construction Software, and other related accounting software programs.
Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills; able to train and mentor others

Pay/Salary: Annual salary opportunity, based on skills and experiences.

Reports To: Co-Owner
Core Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Typical Work Week: M-F; Approximately 40-42 hours a week on average
