Navistar is hiring entry-level electrical & computer engineers to join our forward-thinking team.
As an integral member of our engineering team, you will be involved in the design, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and components for vehicles that drive the transportation industry forward as well as implementation of cutting-edge computer systems and software solutions that drive innovation in the transportation industry.
This position is located at the Navistar Proving Grounds in near South Bend, IN

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the design and development of electrical systems and components and/or computer systems and software applications for our vehicles.
Assist in the creation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control circuits using industry-standard design tools.
Assist in the development of embedded software for vehicle control systems, communication protocols, and human-machine interfaces.
Participate in the selection of appropriate electrical components, sensors, and actuators based on design requirements and industry standards.
Support the development of embedded control systems and software for vehicle subsystems, ensuring proper functionality and integration.
Perform testing and validation of electrical systems, including functional testing, performance testing, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software with vehicle components.
Contribute to the integration of sensor data, communication networks, and control algorithms to enhance vehicle functionality.
Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and regulations in electrical engineering and transportation.
Document design specifications, test procedures, and progress reports in a clear and organized manner.
Adhere to engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science
OR
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment
