The Director of Supply Chain develops and manages the people and processes relative to Supply Chain for Kem Krest’s 12 locations and a total spend of approximately $500M.
The Director of Supply Chain provides strategic leadership to the Supply Chain organization through the creation and executing of the formal road map related to sourcing, planning, procurement, strategic supplier management, transportation management and MRO functions for Kem Krest.
Process Sustain and improve the methodology Supply Chain uses to manage Inventory, Turns, SLOB, Cost reduction and other Strategic sourcing initiatives.
Support Kem Krest Lean Operating System within the Department Develop Best Practices and deploy them across the network reducing waste, variation and enabling growth Lead the creation and improvement of all Departmental process related to the new ERP System road map deployment (D365) Supplier Relationship Management Launch and manage Kem Krest Supplier Council Own and improve the Supplier Scorecard metrics in line with defined Goals Lead and foster strategic sourcing while maintaining a cadence for market evaluation Drive supplier optimization across Kem Krest customer base with strategic initiatives like Category Buying Drive material cost management strategy Develop plan for diversification of spend with a plan for growth for 2024 and beyond Surpass 98% OTS across the network Logistics Management Reduce CPP, improve OTD and claims in line with set goals and KPIs Developing new strategies for direct line hauls, last mile delivery, Kem Krest trucks where feasible Deploy additional regionalized carriers for small parcel Manage the Kem Krest Tariff system for International freight Develop and execute a cadence of RFQs to ensure best logistics sourcing Strategy Alignment Actively participate in the development of the Corporate Level Strategic 3 year Plan on an annual basis with quarterly progress reviews Develop/adjust 3-year rolling strategy roadmap aligned to company strategy Take ownership for assigned team action items and drive accountability Tracking, adjusting, and reporting KPI’s Dashboards People Ensure Supply Chain Team organizational structure is aligned to meet corporate strategic objectives and priorities Conduct regularly scheduled 1:1s with each Direct Report Maintain an active presence in Professional/Industry Association(s), shows, etc.
Promote cross business unit collaboration and resource sharing Visit each regional office regularly to ensure staff is aligned, engaged and managed Support DEI Enterprise level Strategy consistent with role and pay equity for female and racially diverse associates and ensuring female and racially diverse leaders make up meaningful management roles at or above the population representation Competencies Decision quality - Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.

Key Criteria/Requirements: University or College degree (Add notes if MBA or equivalent Masters) Multi-site responsibilities 10-15 years Supply Chain experience (including 5-7 years in a manager-level role) Multi-level leadership experience – team of at least 20 Customer and Strategic Supplier Engagement experience including Transportation Successfully scoped and delivered large/multiple disciplinary complex projects Execution driven managing deliver through facts and data Prior P&L responsibility – budgeting / planning Proven proficiency with all Microsoft office products Proven willingness to embrace technology to meet future client, industry, and company needs & expectations ERP Experience and technology acumen.
