Job Title: Coatings Quality Supervisor
Reports to: Business Unit Leader
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Schedule: 5 x 8 hour shifts
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of the job involved in the Titration and Quality processes of Modineer Company, including managing all facets of internal and external quality systems.
Employees must follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Ensures e-coat and powder coat lines are chemically balanced.
Performs hourly checks on oven temperature, pH of chemicals, and paint levels.
Assists in daily/weekly cleanings of various equipment regarding all paint lines.
Works with the production team to ensure high quality painted product.
Keeps work area clean and free of debris.
Maintains an up-to-date tank cleaning/dump frequency calendar.
Manages the organization and inventory of all lab equipment.
Lead corrective action teams using 8-D’s, 5-Why’s, etc.
Supervise auditors and titration technicians to ensure high productivity and high technical abilities.
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
Communication skills.
Manual dexterity.
Undeterred from working with dirty equipment.
Must be able to enter data and/or required information into computer system.
Excellent attendance, attitude, and communication skills are critical.
Coatings experience is preferred.
Management/Supervision experience is preferred.
Physical environment/working conditions:
The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
