About the Job:
Precision Planting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development of equipment technology innovations.
You will be responsible for the requirements, specifications, coordination and execution of project plans and execution of new equipment products.
The ideal candidate will have a successful background managing multiple simultaneous projects, be customer focused with a strong technology background.
The candidate will be extremely organized, excellent with deadlines, excellent communication and technical skills and be comfortable interacting with project stakeholders, technical or nontechnical.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to a diverse team of engineers, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and values.
Project Management: Oversee the execution and delivery of engineering projects, managing resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgetary constraints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments and stakeholders to understand project requirements, facilitate seamless integration, and ensure project success.
Technical Oversight: Leverage expertise in engineering to provide technical direction, review project designs, and offer valuable insights to the team.
Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development and career growth within the team.
Culture Development: Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team, encouraging collaboration and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/MS or equivalent in relevant engineering disciplines or business degree with strong technical background.
Minimum of 5 years industry experience
Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading development projects of a moderate complexity, spanning 1-2 functional disciplines, and small – medium sized product teams.
Skilled in project management and team leadership.
Experience working on complex problems/designs of multi-disciplinary scope that requires in-depth evaluation of tangible as well as intangible variables.
Exercises independent judgment in selecting and developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
Experience managing and overseeing projects of significant commercial impact.
Supervisory experience.
