Kennel Care Supervisor
Kasten’s Dog Training in Bristol, IN is looking for a Kennel Care Supervisor / Dog Trainer.
The perfect candidate is an individual with a good understanding of dogs, their personalities, 1 year working with dogs and has prior supervisor experience.
We are looking for someone who is committed to working hard and understands that this is a job, not just playing with dogs all day but serious work: Building relationships and caring for dogs, clients, and co-workers.
Compensation package will be based on prior work experience and determination to care for dogs and their owners.
We offer evening shift and weekend incentives.
Prior experience handling dogs such as grooming, training, kennel care, vet tech, is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Caring for dogs
· Serving meals, freshwater, and potty breaks
· Cleaning dog bowls, dog kennels, and dog runs
· General facility care both inside and out
· Laundry
· Monitoring dog activities/refreshers and behaviors
· Training kennel care staff
· Creating a weekly schedule for kennel care staff
· Maintaining a cleanliness standard for the facility
· Regulating kennel care protocol
· Ensuring kennel staff is following kennel care protocol
· Confirming the Kennel Care Job Description is up to date
· Assisting Trainers with the training of dogs as necessary
· Assisting Front Office with customer service
· Working with owner to hire and terminate kennel care staff
· Working with owner to evaluate kennel care staff and hold reviews
The kennel care supervisor reports directly to owner and is part of the management team.
Kennel care staff reports directly to the Kennel Care Supervisor.
Kennel Care Supervisor must be willing to work flexible hours.
Kennel Care Supervisor must be willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
This is a 40-hour week position.
Kennel Care Supervisor will handle filling multiple roles at Kasten’s Dog Training including but not limited to supervising kennel care staff, front office responsibilities, kennel care, and training dogs.
An applicant for the position of Kennel Care Supervisor will be a responsible person who communicates effectively, leads by example, is able to delegate tasks, possesses time management skills, adapts well to change, is approachable, criticizes constructively, maintains a positive attitude, and functions well under pressure.
Basically, someone who is humble, hungry, and smart!
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week.
Compensation is $18.
00 - $22.
00/hour.
