Patrick Industries Corporate Office is hiring a SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager to support the growing Department.
The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager is responsible for leading both the SEC reporting function, including ownership over the preparation and review of SEC filings, Form’s 10-K and 10-Qs as well as overseeing the Technical Accounting function.
This role ensures the execution of strategy and is ultimately accountable for achieving functional objectives within the areas of scope/focus.
The individual and their team work cross functionally with other members of Leadership including Patrick’s Senior Team and Department Heads in the Finance Department with a focus of exceptional service and enablement to the business.

Your adventure awaits! *Responsibilities and Duties:* * Lead Company’s SEC reporting function owning the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Form’s 10-K and 10-Qs.
* Work cross-functionally across the Company on SEC reporting matters for preparation and review of financial statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A, and relevant disclosure checklists.
* Assist in the preparation and review of audit schedules for the quarterly reviews and annual audit.
* Provide guidance to other departments regarding SEC and Technical Accounting matters.
* Lead the quarterly development, drafting and delivery of public earnings materials in collaboration with other Team Members that include prepared remarks, earnings presentations and press releases.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of SEC reports.
* Respond to SEC inquiries and requests for information.
* Research and document accounting positions for complex transactions.
* Assist with evaluating the accounting consequences of potential transactions and provide input and suggestions to planned and proposed agreements and ventures.
* Follow emerging accounting issues and proactively analyze their impact on the Company’s results and financial position and lead implementation of new accounting standards.
* Provide guidance and training on technical accounting issues to constituents within the Company.
* Assist IR Team with any questions relating to financial statements and accounting positions.
* Hire, train and develop Team Members and provide periodic feedback regarding performance.
* Drive operational and/or functional performance in alignment with the vision and strategy.
* Ensure full compliance in all facets of operations with Patrick policy, State & Federal law, and/or other regulations.
* Support enhancing Patrick Lease accounting and reporting.
*Qualifications and Skills:* * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (Master's degree preferred) * CPA license is mandatory.
* 5+ years of experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations.
* Candidates with experience using Workiva/wdesk are desired.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage a team and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with accounting software (e.
g.
, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
* Industry-specific (manufacturing/distribution) knowledge in the relevant sector is a plus.
* Strong tact and diplomacy; ability to work effectively with staff on all levels.
* A high level of personal integrity including self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect are necessary qualities.
