Full Stack Developer Posting Number: 0000941 Reports to: Chief Information Officer Department: Information Technology Classification: Exempt Full or Part-time: Full Time Job Summary: Develops, tests, and maintains web applications and software services and supports the website, assisting in continuous updates and content management.
In a team environment, position is responsible for working with the Senior Developer on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient software solutions.
Position collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop applications that meet the needs of users as well as extending the Banner ERP system.
Essential Functions: 1.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other users to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
2.
Develop and maintain applications back ends using Node.
js or Sails.
js.
3.
Create responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript.
4.
Design/implement database solutions (MongoDB, SQL databases, Oracle Database.
)5.
Write efficient, reusable, and testable code.
6.
Support existing web apps and software systems (MyLMC workflows, Campus Directory, integrations with website and eLearning software system.
) Resolve issues thru research, testing, and communication.
7.
Use Banner ERP system tools to extend its functionality (Text Manager, Page Builder.
)8.
Develop, test, and maintain custom web apps to use with Banner or other enterprise systems.
9.
Acts as project coordinator or technical lead on web development, eLearning, and Banner ERP extensibility tools projects.
10.
Write, translate, and review web apps to meet evolving specifications.
Diagnose and find solutions for application issues.
11.
Work with Marketing for website needs and tasks and collaborate with users to help with website updates and website host/vendor on projects and updates.
12.
Develop and maintain IT and user process documentation and training materials on web app and software services (existing and newly implemented or developed).
Other Duties: 1.
Act as an escalation point for Help Desk tickets to resolve web app and software issues.
Assist in resolving problems with web programs, software, or systems.
2.
Recommend, schedule, and perform web platform improvements and upgrades.
3.
Proactively manage project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
4.
Design, run, monitor performance tests on software to fix errors and identify improvements.
5.
Write report to project managers and others on the status of projects and initiatives.
6.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities: Under the limited supervision of the Chief Information officer, position maintains web applications and software services in tandem with the Senior Web Developer and supports the website through implementation of necessary security updates, content creation, and other updates.
Job Specifications: 1.
Bachelors degree in computer science, CIS, or related field required, or a combination of associate degree with relevant training and/or technical certification(s).
2.
5 or more years of experience in an IT related field required.
3.
3+ years experience in higher education preferred; experience in higher ed IT highly preferred.
4.
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
5.
Solid experience with Node.
js for back-end development.
6.
Competency in front-end technologies, including Angular and TypeScript.
7.
Familiarity with Sails.
js is preferred.
8.
Experience with MongoDB, SQL databases, and Oracle Database.
9.
Solid experience in Drupal, WordPress, Umbraco, or other web development software10.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
12.
Special consideration will be given for experience with Java, Groovy, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, VB.
NET, Banner, Node.
js, Sails.
js, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL.
13.
Special consideration will be given for experience MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL database administration experience.
14.
Experience developing procedural documentation and training materials preferred.
