POSITION SUMMARY
The Application Specialist III is an IT position.
You must work with internal and vendor applications.
This position will be interacting with internal customers and becoming a subject matter expert on several applications.
Must learn the internal and external interfaces to these applications.
You should be to program when needed.
Ability to follow install guides and vendor documentation.
Ability to document processes and build visual diagrams of process or data flows.
Required to report progress on tasks or tickets to supervisor or manager.
Follow the banks project flow process from build, to test, and through implementation.
This is a more experienced IT position, so you will be asked to help mentor others.
We will be looking for you to suggest and make improvements in systems, applications, or processes.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to query data and link tables together logically
Write code following specifications
Build test plans to test code
Ability to follow the change control process to migrate code from Test to Production
Operationalize new processes
Documenting and editing processes and instructions
Subject matter expert across a dozen or more systems
Start taking on Production Support tasks
Automating or Solving manual processes
Able to create design specifications
Understanding of integrations
Support applications according to SLA’s
Ability to work with vendor and System Engineer to work with Server class upgrades
Production Support Specialist
Working across various business areas
Work as IT Lead on a major project
Mentor and lead lower support tiers
Find efficiencies in processes
Ability to work with vendor and System Engineer to work with Server class install
EDUCATION
5-8 years in an Application Specialist position or programming field and/or
Associate's degree or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science field)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Minimal or occasional travel for meetings, projects or training as needed.
