CAD Designer/Engineering Technician

Incumbent Responsibilities: * Capable of independently generating shop drawings for prestressed concrete hollowcore planks.
Tasks include generating the plank layouts, connections, summary tables and production sheets.
Candidate must be able to read architectural plans and convert them to shop drawings.
* Under the supervision of an Engineer, perform structural design calculations of prestressed concrete planks.
Will learn * Perform at a high level and produce quality work.
Ability to independently generate details with minimal oversight, while producing a high level of quality.
* Efficient detailing work to ensure profitability and client schedules are being met.
Position is encouraged to work efficiently and possess the ability to work on multiple projects at different stages of development.
* Assist in quality control by field verifying planks have been fabricated to project specifications and all required details have been fabricated correctly.
Job Requirements: * AutoCad experience required * Ability to read architectural and structural plans * Math skills required to compute quantities, dimensions and perform designs * Experience in construction and a technical background in the civil or mechanical is preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.
