The team you will be a part of: The Information Systems team is responsible for implementation of the enterprise architecture and the development and maintenance of the organization's computing/IT environment.
Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications.
This role in summary: The Cloud/Compute Services Senior Manager role in Whirlpool Corporation's Global Information Systems (GIS) organization reports up through the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) Director.
The primary focus of this role is providing guidance for developing and deploying the capabilities for continuously improving stability and performance through IT Infrastructure Services projects delivery on all Whirlpool’s regions.
This position is also responsible for proposing project plans and controlling its budgets.
Further, the Cloud and Compute Leader has the responsibility of liaising with the regions to benchmark and elevate the quality of our IT Projects, leveraging on global and regional talent to deliver capabilities under global standards for performance and quality.
As important as all technical responsibilities, being a senior leader within EIS, the role owner will lead and develop talent within the organization.
Your responsibilities will include: Lead project management services to successfully deliver results that meet defined business needs to enable our business strategy or manage down business continuity risk.
Work actively with Global PMO function to continuously improve the predictability on all aspects of the service delivery.
Partner with transition services to design and build operational stability throughout the project life cycle and hypercare, deploying an production ready solution.
Assume financial accountability for an assigned cost center and manage.
Aggressively and continuously improve financial management practices.
Support process, tool, service development and continuous improvements, including performance targets, cost, quality of service, and end user satisfaction.
Process adherence, awareness, and governance oversight including project tollgates, portfolio reviews, core engagement and metric reporting that supports our objectives.
Lead the Annual Operating Plan activities for EIS, facilitating sessions with all regions and groups to prepare our investment plan for the next year.
Lead Project Managers to own and manage the scope, cost, schedule, deliverables, risks, issues, resources, stakeholder and change management.
Ensure internal teams and suppliers compliance with IT Services Management processes to provide value globally for Whirlpool Corporation: Change Management, Testing Management, and Performance Management.
Work across regions to ensure the same management processes and Suppliers efficiency are in place to ensure quality delivery and safety of Whirlpools IT projects.
Stay current on technology and process advances across technical service towers.
Stay updated on upcoming technologies that can be implemented to improve stability, reduce cost and improve overall benchmarks of quality.
Develop cost effective services that can be leveraged across the enterprise.
Seek process efficiency opportunities in line with operational needs.
Build a succession pipeline.
Develop team talent and capabilities.
Oversee day to day operations in the cloud and on premise workloads globally.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
5+ years of information technology experience with demonstrated experience in global, large scale enterprise operations and support process design and effectiveness.
Demonstrated experience of cross-functional partnership to drive positive outcomes.
Demonstrated experience driving positive cultural change.
Demonstrated experience using data-driven insights to determine informed decision making.
Demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement techniques to enhance service offerings.
Demonstrated experience partnering across functions with leaders on ITSM related issues.
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally to execute strategies.
Demonstrated experience developing talent.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Adaptability and high level of curiosity and creativity.
Preferred skills and experiences: Post Graduation / advanced degree.
ITIL Practitioner.
Working knowledge of Traditional and Lean IT Management Methods as well as Agile / DevOps framework.
International experience is desirable.
Experience living a continuous improvement culture, effectively eliminating waste and driving overall process discipline and improvement.
Experience working within global teams and the demonstrated ability to establish and succeed with global partners.
Experience implementing global IT Operations Processes.
